Helping Gen Z become Gen D-IY

Lunar Talent supplied Jeff Brazier & Freddy Brazier for a series of ‘how-to’ videos for Homeserve as part of its Gen D-IY Campaign.

Homeserve’s research reveals that 3 million young adults lack basic home maintenance skills and their mission was to help get the nation feeling confident about essential DIY. Whether a total novice or looking to brush up on your skills, they created a mini-series of short clips and tips to tackle some of the most frequent household issues.

A natural fit

Jeff and Freddy were a natural fit for this campaign and with support from the experts at HomeServe.

They tackle the tasks young adults struggle with the most – from locating a stopcock to fixing fuse box issues.

Commenting on the campaign, Jeff Brazier says:

Having basic home maintenance knowhow is an important part of becoming independent – but so many young people just aren’t confident that they can carry out even the most basic tasks. And my own generation could do with brushing up their skills too – too many of us aren’t confident enough to teach our children. That’s why Freddy and I are are teaming up with HomeServe – to fix up and create Gen D-IY – a whole generation of confident young adults
